For Women
Some women may ask themselves, “Am I the only one with this problem?”
You Are Not Alone
Research continues to show that there are a multitude of women who experience bowel, bladder, and sexual dysfunctions. Several studies have reported that 30 percent of U.S. women suffer from dyspareunia (painful intercourse). The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (April 2001) reported 22 percent of women still had pain when attempting intercourse at six months after delivery of their baby. Urinary Incontinence has been reported at a prevalence of 3-17% of all people.
It’s Not In Your Head
Many patients have medical tests that come out negative for any measurable ailment. Past traumas such as infections, scarring, hormonal changes, spinal problems, diabetes, or other disorders can lead to tension and trigger point pain in the muscles as well as dysfunction of the organs. There is also strong evidence to support that emotional trauma can certainly cause very real issues in other systems of the body.
