Enterra Therapy
Overview
Enterra therapy is an implantable device to control chronic nausea and vomiting often associated with gastroparesis – a condition in which the stomach cannot empty itself of food normally – which may be brought on by diabetes or from unknown causes.
This FDA-approved neurostimulator produces small electrical pulses, which are sent through insulated wires to the lower section of the stomach. Treatment is both customizable and reversible. Your physician can adjust stimulation settings to tailor to your individual condition, as well as halt therapy as needed.
Talk with your physician to find out if Enterra therapy is the right treatment option for you.
