Research & Clinical Expertise:

Dr. Singh is passionate about driving high-quality diabetes research and developing person-centered interventions to assist patients and their families better manage this condition and improve their quality of life. Through her research, she also aims to emphasize patients’ experiences of living with diabetes and the psychosocial impact of this condition for the benefit of healthcare professionals and others without diabetes.

She has extensive international health research experience having worked and collaborated with healthcare teams in India, the UK, and the US. She specializes in the design, development, and use of diabetes (and other condition) specific quality of life and other patient-reported outcome measures. She also has expertise in the development and use of Internet interventions to deliver engaging, outcomes-oriented, low-cost, high reach interventions to benefit this patient population. Dr. Singh has successfully secured and managed various studies funded by federal grants and industry, which have resulted in a number of international conference presentations and publications in reputed journals. She is an advisor to the Behavioral Medicine and Psychology Interest Group of the American Diabetes Association and a consultant to the California Diabetes and Pregnancy Program Sweet Success Program. She is also on the reviewing board of various peer-reviewed prestigious diabetes journals.

Dr. Singh loves to spend her free time with her family, which includes her husband and two kids. She also enjoys shopping (more than she should), tending to her garden, and secretly embraces a dream to author a book about her experiences across three continents!
